Livia Franchi
Livia Franchi de’ Cavalieri was born in Rome in 2003. She took up the study of piano at the age of five under the guidance of M. G. Porri ButtĂ . From 2011 to 2015 she participated in the activities of the Choral Singing School of the Teatro dell’Opera di Rome directed by M. Jose Maria Sciutto, performing in numerous concerts conducted by Maestri of international fame such as Riccardo Muti, Roberto Gabbiani and in the operas of the seasons 2014/2015, such as Carmina Burana, Carmen, Boheme, Turandot, Lady of Spades, Werther, Brundibar, Nutcracker. In 2015, he undertook the pre-academic course of Piano under the guidance of M. Massimo Spada, with whom he continued his studies at the Conservatory of Music “Francesco Morlacchi” in Perugia. In 2016 he won second prize at the International Piano Competition “Insieme al Piano. Since 2020 he has been attending the International School “Avos Project” in Rome, performing in numerous chamber ensembles at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome, the Festival “Villa Pennisi in Musica” in Acireale (Catania), the University for Foreigners in Perugia. She performed at the chamber music festival “I tramonti di Tinia,” performing the Fourth Symphony by Gustav Mahler in a special chamber ensemble conducted by M. Carlo Rizzari. He also participates in piano and chamber music master classes held by leading musicians such as Beatrice Rana, Angela Hewitt, Mario Montore, David Romano, Luca Sanzò and Mirei Yamada.
