After completing in Rome a BSc in Physics and graduating with honours as a cellist, I am currently an MPhil student at the Centre for Music and Science of
the University of Cambridge, funded by a Cambridge Trust European Scholarship and a grant from Regione Lazio. Under the supervision of Prof. Ian Cross, I am engaging with an exploration of the cognitive underpinnings of the experience of tonality, merging computational and theoretical tools. In the past years I have gathered an extensive experience as a performer in
chamber and orchestral ensembles, working with conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Donato Renzetti, Luigi Piovano and many others. I have developed a strong dedication to music education during several years of teaching assistantship within the educational programs of the “Accademia
Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” in Rome. I hope that the deeper cultural and analytic understanding that will stem from present and future research will also be reflected in the education of future music makers.
