Christiana Coppola

Christiana Coppola, born in Naples in December 2004, began studying the cello at the age of 7; at just 12 she was admitted to the conservatory “G. Cantelli” where she obtained, in 2021, with a concession reserved for precociousness, her bachelor degree cum laude and honorable mention. She won the first prize, string section, at the XXV edition of the Giussano Competition and the first prize overall at the “Crescendo” in Florence. In 2021 she performed as a chamber musician at the Scala Museum in Milan and as a soloist at the San Giovanni theater in Brescia with the Master Orchestra, under the direction of Sergio Baietta. In October with the pianist Ludovica De Bernardo, Christiana has inaugurated the “Conservatories in Piedmont” exhibition representing the Cantelli of Novara; again in October she debuted as a soloist at the Teatro Coccia in Novara accompanied by the Carlo Coccia Symphony Orchestra.

In 2022, thanks to the “Festival d’ Oriente” Roero Cultural Events, she made a recording for SkyClassica HD. In 2023, during the Janigro festival, she performed the Schumann Concerto at the Savoia Theater in Campobasso accompanied by the Molise Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrea Azzi. In July she performed the Weinberg Concerto as a soloist with the Virtuoso Ensemble Orchestra directed by Andrea Gottfried at the Gipsoteca in Pisa; as a chamber musician she performed as a duo with Bruno Canino in Aosta, as a duo with Ludovica De Bernardo live on Rai (Radio3) in Rome for the radio broadcast “Voci in Barcaccia”, at the Vatican Museums with Giulia Ventura and at the Alagna Music Festival with Simone Pedroni who awarded her the “Culture Award”. Since 2019 she has been studying with Amedeo Cicchese and since 2022 she has been attending the Pavia Cello Academy in Enrico Dindo’s class; since October 2023 she has been studying with Antonio Meneses at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona and with Ivan Rabaglia, chamber music class, at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
