Gianluca Campo
Born in 1989, Solo Flute of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He begins his musical studies with M° Giovanni Roselli and graduates with honours at the Conservatorio di Musica “V. Bellini” of Catania. He also graduated in the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart under the guidance of M° Davide Formisano, brilliantly obtaining the Bachelor and Master of Music. He was a member of the ‘Luigi Cherubini’ Orchestra under the direction of M° Riccardo Muti and he was also an Academist at the Bayerische Staatsorchester in Munich under the direction of M° Kirill Petrenko. He collaborated as Solo Flute with various renowned orchestras including the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Roma, Opernhaus Zürich, SWR Stuttgart, NDR Hamburg and the Bayerische Staatsoper. From 2016 until 2023 he was Solo Flute at the Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen (CH). In the 2019/2020 season he held the same role at the Bayerische Staatsoper. He holds the role of Flute Professor at the Conservatorio “V. Bellini” of Catania. In 2022 he participated at the second Round in the Solo-Flöte competition at the Berliner Philharmoniker.
