Alessandro Sacchetti

Alessandro Sacchetti, 15 years old cellist, has been studying with the Maestro Paolo Andriotti since 2015. Since 2020, he has been attending to the Academic Course of advanced musical preparation with the M° Antonio Meneses at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona. Alessandro prosecuted his studies with the Maestro at the Summer Academy in Biel (Switzerland) and at the Chigiana Academy in Siena. Alessandro is actually studying also the Academic Courses at the International Musical Academy Avos Project in Rome where he is student of the M° Pianelli and he is also taking part of the Chamber Music course with theAvos Piano Quartet and with the Prometeo Quartet. At the Lorenzo Perosi Musical Academy in Biella, he attended to the Advanced Musical preparation Course with the M° Stefan Heinemeyer – teacher at the Hannover Conservatory and cellist of the Atos Trio. In the same Academy, Alessandro got a scholarship for chamber music with the Trio of Parma. He took part in several Masterclasses with Mario Brunello, Luigi Piovano, Umberto Clerici, Gabriele Geminiani, Thomas Demenga, Brannon Cho, Giovanni Gnocchi, Zlatomir Fung, Jakob Koranyi, Mischa Maisky, Sol Gabetta, Pablo Ferrandez, Kian Soltani and David Geringas.

Alessandro was invited at the XLVIII edition of the Frentana musical summer, where he played as soloist the concert in Do Maggiore by Antonio Vivaldi in the Diocleziano Auditorium in Lanciano, directed by the M° Stefano Pagliani. He played as soloist also in the concert for young interpreters, during the International Music Festival in Cittadella and as first cellist during the Musical summer in Nocera Umbra, directed by the Maestro Stefano Ferrario. In 2022, Alessandro performed as soloist the concert “Sonates et figures” in the beautiful Palazzo Gromo Losa in Biella and also in a concert organized by the Rome Chamber music Festival Foundation together with the Florence Municipality and the Tuscany-USA Association in the amazing location of Salone dei Cinquecento. He was winner of the absolute first prize (99/100) and a scholarship at the XXIV International Competition of musical execution “Rotary Club Teramo Est”. He also won the absolute first prize (100/100), a scholarship and a concert at Villa Bertelli, in Forte dei Marmi, for the ClaraWieck Schumann 2019 Edition. Then, the first prize in the 20° Riviera Etrusca national competition and the same award in the 6° international competition “Note sul mare”. As member of Chamber quartets, Alessandro participated in the Mantova Music Chamber Festival, in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, he was in Portogruaro for a Masterclass with the Prometeo Quartet, on the occasion of the International Festival of chamber music. In 2022, he played in the opening concert “Music for nature” of the 51st Frentana Musical summer in Lanciano. For the Musical summer in Nocera Umbra, he performed “The retreat of Madrid”, “12 Variations by Boccherini”, the “Schumann Quintet” in a quintet with Avos project and the Mendelssohn Ottetto with the pianist Leonardo Pierdomenico. When he was 7 years old, he started playing in the JuniOrchestra of the Santa Cecilia Academy and at just 11 years old, he was selected to be part of the JuniorOrchestra Young, reserved to young artists from 14 to 21 years and he is currently playing as first cellist. In 2020, Alessandro was the only cellist to win one of the scholarships offered by the same Academy and in 2021 he ranked first among all the participants.
