Fulvio Nicolosi

Growing up in a family of musicians, Fulvio Nicolosi approached the piano at the age of 12, later entering the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory under the guidance of maestro Epifanio Comis with whom he completed the First Level Academic Triennium with top marks and Honorable Mention “For the excellent executive and interpretative carat, for the lucidity in the search for sounds and colors, for the remarkable technique […]” At the age of 20, he is already the winner of numerous prizes in national and international piano competitions, among the latest: Steinway Piano Competition, Third Prize 2021; “Villa Scacciapensieri” International Competition in Siena, First Prize 2022. During the most recent, “Nuova COPPA Pianisti Osimo 2022,” he received a special mention as the youngest finalist.He has participated in dozens of seminars held by internationally renowned pianists such as Beatrice Rana, Pietro De Maria, Jeffrey Swann, Roberto Cappello, Bruno Canino etc. He has performed as part of concert seasons on stages in numerous Italian cities, including Rome, Perugia, Catania, Verona, Ragusa, Perugia, Siena, Messina, Imperia, as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. Among the most recent, in Rome at the Royal Circus Canottieri Tevere Remo. He plays regularly in the Duo Nicolosi, formed with his cellist brother Giulio. The piece “Schizo-Valse,” composed by Domenico Famà in 2022 and published by Da Vinci edition, was dedicated to the formation. In July 2023 he made his orchestra debut, performing Mozart’s Concerto K466 with the Camerata Strumentale Siciliana conducted by Manuel Tèvar. He is currently attending the Biennium of Pianoforte with Concert Address at the Conservatory of Perugia with M0 Massimo Spada, an internationally renowned pianist.
